Oman International Trade & Exhibitions LLC ("OITE", "we") publishes official mobile applications for the events we organise — such as Oman Climate Week, Logistex, and GEDEX — and sells tickets to those events. This policy explains what data these apps and our ticketing handle. It applies to every OITE event app unless an app states otherwise.
Registration details (optional). If you register for a visitor badge in an app, we collect the details you enter: name, email address, phone number, company, job title, and country. These are used to issue your event badge, verify your email, and administer your attendance.
Ticket & order details. If you buy a ticket to one of our events, we record your order — the event, ticket type, amount, and a payment reference — so we can confirm your purchase and issue your badge. We do not receive or store your full card number; card payments are handled entirely by our payment provider (see Payments below).
Push notification token (optional). If you allow notifications, the app registers an anonymous device token so organisers can send event announcements. The token is not linked to your identity.
Nothing else. Our apps contain no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking. You can browse every part of an app without registering.
Ticket payments are processed securely by Thawani, a licensed payment gateway regulated in the Sultanate of Oman. When you pay, your card details are entered directly with Thawani and are handled under their security standards — OITE never sees or stores your full card number, expiry, or CVV. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded and a reference so we can match it to your order. Refunds, cancellations and transfers are governed by our Refund & Return Policy.
Your badge contains a QR code with your registration reference. If you choose to have your badge scanned at an exhibitor's stand, that exhibitor receives the contact details you registered with, so they can follow up with you. Scanning happens only with your physical presentation of the badge — it is always your choice.
Registration and order data is stored on OITE's own servers. Card payments are processed by Thawani; OITE stores only the payment reference and status, never card details. Push notifications are delivered through Expo's notification service and Apple/Google's push infrastructure, which receive only the anonymous device token and the message content. Event news shown in the apps is fetched from the respective event's public website. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Registration and order data is kept for the administration of the event you registered for, for the financial records we are required to keep, and reasonable archival afterwards. You can have your registration and badge deleted at any time — email us at info@oite.com from your registered address and we will remove it. Disabling notifications in your device settings deactivates your push token.
Our apps are intended for professional event attendees and are not directed at children under 13.
If our practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised.
